Main Street / State Road 1

Repairs and traffic lights on Main Street/State Road 1 are maintained by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). To report a problem related to Main Street/State Road 1, please Contact INDOT.

Leaf and Brush Pick Up

The Bluffton Street Department also collects and disposes of leaves and brush/tree limbs set out at the curb by Bluffton residents during specific times of the year. View the Leaf and Brush Pick Up page for more information.

Grass clippings left in piles provide harborage for mosquitoes and the decaying grass creates unpleasant odors. Therefore, the City of Bluffton does not pick up lawn grass clippings. Republic Services will accept bagged grass clippings with the regular trash collection in their 95-gallon bins. City residents may also haul their yard waste to the City Compost Site on Indiana State Road 124 East across from Expert Transmission. Usage of the City Compost Site is free to Bluffton residents, and its gates are open seven days a week from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Snow Removal

The Bluffton Street Department is also responsible for snow removal from city-owned streets. Primary plow routes are run first, followed by secondary residential street routes. Visit the Snow Removal page for more details.

Sidewalk Assistance Program

The City of Bluffton desires to encourage the construction, replacement, and maintenance of sidewalks and curbs throughout the City. The City believes this is best accomplished by the City and the property owner working together. For more information on this program, visit the Sidewalk Assistant Program page.
