Paying Traffic Tickets
PAY ONLINE WITH CREDIT CARD
- Payments can also be made in-person at the City Court office, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm
- No partial payments accepted. Cash, money order, or PAY WITH CREDIT CARD only.
- Do not send cash through the mail.
- Personal/Company checks will be returned, and your case will be treated as though you did not appear.
Failure to appear or pay judgment by the appearance date will result in an order for suspension of your driving privileges and an additional fine.
Violations Information
Before you admit to a violation you should be informed that:
- Your admission will have the same effect as a judgment of the court.
- A record of the judgment will be sent to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles of Indiana or the state that issued your license to drive.
You are entitled to a trial. If you dispute this ticket, you must appear on the scheduled date. This will not be the date of your trial. You will receive further information.
If you admit the violation and wish to avoid appearing in Court:
- Read the Summons, which the officer gave you.
- Find the violation for which you are charged on the ticket front.
- Sign the ticket and mail it with a Money Order or Cashier's Check, made payable to Bluffton City Court for the amount indicated.
- If payment is not received by the court as scheduled, a late fee of $25 will be imposed in addition to other monies due.
- Minors (under 18 years of age) must appear with a parent or guardian.
Given is a schedule of the fines. Court costs of $139.50 are included in the amount and must be paid. Costs are established by the legislature. If you have received multiple citations, you may be required to pay only one Court Cost.
If the offense for which you are charged is not listed, you may contact the Court Clerk Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm at 260-824-3392.
