Citywide Clean Up Events

The City of Bluffton sponsors two clean-up events each year: one in the spring and another in the fall. Each event includes both a citywide clean-up day and a day where residents can set out unlimited bagged trash on their normal trash pick-up day.

2026 Spring Clean-Up Event Dates

  • Citywide Clean Up is Saturday, May 9th from 8 am to noon.
  • Residential Unlimited BAGGED trash week is scheduled for May 4, 5 & 6.

Additional information:

  • It is important to have trash out by 5:30 am on your normal garbage day because Republic Services will have additional trucks running the routes. This service is for additional bagged trash only.
  • On May 9th, city residents may use the dumpsters placed at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, 702 N Main Street, to dispose of extra trash and bulk items.
  • We recommend all yard waste be taken out to the compost site on State Road 124 East.
  • The carpet will be accepted if they are cut into 4-foot pieces and bundled up.
  • Unauthorized or improper disposal of items will result in a citation. A driver's license may be required.
  • Items not accepted:
    • hazardous waste materials
    • tires
    • recyclables
    • large pieces of furniture
    • electronics (such as printers, computers, televisions, etc.)

Note: OmniSource now has collection containers located at the Bluffton Recycling Center for E-Waste. There is a $20 charge for TV's and Computer Monitors. You can purchase these at the Wells County Auditor's office in the Court House.
